Seongsan
Ilchulbang (Sunrise Peak) is a huge crater of an extinct volcano
that protrudes from a peninsula into the sea. With a basin area
of over 9,000m2 and covered with grass you can see why so many
people visit this spectacular sight. For the early rises Seongsan
will delight you with its unforgettable sunrise view. Seongsan
is also described to be similar to a crown as a view from above
shows 99 odd shaped rocks scattered around the edge of the crater. |

Samgumburi
- this crater is situated not on the top of a mountain, but
almost on the same level with surrounding territory, resembling
a huge plate in the ground. In spite of its shape this crater
never fills up with water. The entrance is finely decorated
by stones. Location: center part of Jeju, east from Halla Mtn.
