Korea is well known for it’s shopping. Most of famous shopping areas are located in Seoul downtown and can be reached by subway or taxi.

Insadong
Insadong is an antique shops & galleries street located close to the heart of the city and palaces. It became a great place to go both for shopping or just for sightseeing. Besides the art shops and galleries you can find here Korean Traditional Clothes, Ceramics, Handicrafts and Souvenirs Shops. Local artists sell here hand-made crafts and accessories. Many tasty restaurants and traditional tea houses line the back streets.
Insadong might be interesting for all tourists.
How to get there: Subway Line 3, Anguk Station.
Dongdaemun
When it comes to buying clothes in Korea, the wholesale clothing markets concentrated in Dongdaemun are becoming Korea’s leading shopping centers. A full range of fashion items at inexpensive prices are found here. Major shopping malls are Doosan Tower, Migliore, Freya Town, which are open until late at night. A very popular place among Asian tourists.
How to get there: Subway Line 2, “Dongdaemun Stadium Station”, or Line 1 or 4 “Dongdaemun Station”
Sinchon & Ewha Streets
Sinchon Street and neighbouring Ewha University area are famous for its shopping streets filled with youths wearing the latest fashions. Many clothes shops, accessory shops, shoes salons, restaurants and night clubs are located here. A popular place among Asian tourists.
How to get to Sinchon: Subway Line 2, “Sinchon” Station, Exit 2 or 3
How to get to Ewha: Subway Line 2, “I-dae Ap” Station, Exit 2 or 3
Apkujeong Street
The streets of Apkujeong are filled with stores featuring the latest trends from fashion to home decorating, and is known as “the place to be” for young Koreans. Many people look for the famous street Apkujeong Rodeo Drive for the latest high-end fashions.
How to get to there: Subway Line 3, Apkujeong Station, Go out exits 2 or 3, and walk towards Seongsu Bridge 4-way intersection.
Itaewon
Itaewon is Seoul’s most cosmopolitan area with its shops, restaurants, bars, etc. Most signboards are written in English, and often seen are English speaking people on the street. Many foreigners note that it’s easier to find here Western big & tall size clothing. Itaewon today is the home of various people with various backgrounds and nationalities. The “international” Itaewon’s atmosphere seems to have come from the US military post that neighbors Itaewon.
Itaewon might be interesting for all tourists.
